Work rights & visas

A worldwide vacancy does not give worldwide work permission. Start with your passport, the destination and the exact job before booking travel.

Destination decides

Immigration and employment rules belong to the country where the work is performed. Check the official government route for your nationality and intended activity.

Job board ≠ permission

A listing, recruiter message or job offer does not replace a visa, residence status or work authorisation. Confirm the legal route independently.

EU / EEA / Swiss in Spain

People covered by European free-movement rules can work in Spain without the employer-sponsored route used for most non-European hires, although registration and practical formalities can still apply.

Non-European workers in Spain

An employer normally needs the correct authorisation before a non-European employee starts, unless the person already holds a Spanish status that permits the work.

Spain seasonal route

Spain’s current seasonal-work authorisation can run for four years, generally for one employer, with work periods of up to nine months in a calendar year and specific return obligations.

Guidance only: verify current immigration, employment, wage, tax and housing rules with the destination’s official authorities before making decisions. *Spain’s SMI is gross; proportional and collective-agreement rules may apply.
