2. Data processed today
The hosting infrastructure may process IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and device information, referrer and technical security logs. Country and browser-language headers may select the initial language. The necessary cookie wt_locale_v2 stores the chosen language for up to 12 months. Messages in the current rule-based chatbot stay in the page session and are not sent to an AI service or saved in a user profile.
3. Cookies and consent
The WorkTrekkers application sets only the necessary wt_locale_v2 cookie, for up to 12 months, to remember the selected language. Hosting and security infrastructure may use strictly necessary security cookies. After an external job or affiliate link is opened, the destination site may use cookies or similar technologies under its own policy.
4. Services currently used
The following services are currently connected to WorkTrekkers.
ChatGPT Sites / Cloudflare
ChatGPT Sites and the related Cloudflare infrastructure host, distribute and protect the website. They may process IP addresses, requests, device and browser data, and technical or security logs. WorkTrekkers has not installed a web-analytics beacon.
WhatJobs / Careerjet / Adzuna / Google Cloud Translation
When Careerjet listings load, WorkTrekkers sends Careerjet, through its server proxy, the visitor’s IP address, user-agent and current page URL needed to return real-time listings. Adzuna is queried from the WorkTrekkers server without passing the visitor’s IP address or user-agent. Only job titles and descriptions that need translation are sent server-side to Google Cloud Translation. Opening an offer takes the visitor to an external site, whose privacy policy then applies.
Wise / Travelpayouts
Wise links use an affiliate tracking redirect, while Travelpayouts links lead to external travel providers. After a click, the affiliate network or destination may use cookies or identifiers to attribute a conversion. WorkTrekkers may receive aggregate conversion data and a commission without increasing the visitor’s price, but does not receive Wise account or payment details.
5. Purposes, recipients and retention
Technical data is used to deliver and secure the site, prevent abuse and remember language. Careerjet receives the technical fields described above to provide requested real-time listings; Adzuna and Google Cloud Translation are called server-side to provide and translate job content. Affiliate attribution starts after a link is opened. Providers may process data outside the EEA under their own safeguards and keep it for the periods stated in their policies; WorkTrekkers keeps technical logs only as long as necessary.
6. Your rights and updates
Where the GDPR applies, visitors may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection and may withdraw consent. They may complain to their competent authority; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali. WorkTrekkers links to independent websites and does not control their privacy practices. This notice will be updated when providers, purposes, retention periods or contact details change.
