2. Data processed today
The hosting infrastructure may process IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and device information, referrer and technical security logs. Country and browser-language headers may select the initial language. The necessary cookie wt_locale_v2 stores the chosen language for up to 12 months. Messages in the current rule-based chatbot stay in the page session and are not sent to an AI service or saved in a user profile.
3. Cookies and consent
WorkTrekkers uses only the necessary language-preference cookie on its own pages. According to Cloudflare, Web Analytics does not use cookies, localStorage or fingerprinting, so no analytics-consent preference is stored and no analytics banner is shown. An external travel provider may use attribution technologies only after an affiliate link is opened, under its own policy.

Cloudflare Web Analytics
Cloudflare provides delivery, security and privacy-focused Web Analytics. Its lightweight beacon produces aggregate page-view and performance metrics, including URL path, referrer, country, browser, operating system, device type and Core Web Vitals. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors’ personal data and does not use cookies, localStorage or fingerprinting.
Travelpayouts
Affiliate links lead to external travel providers. After a click, Travelpayouts or the destination provider may use a cookie or another identifier to attribute a booking. WorkTrekkers may receive a commission without increasing the visitor’s price.
5. Purposes, recipients and retention
Technical data is used to deliver pages, preserve security, prevent abuse and remember language. Cloudflare processes aggregate traffic and performance metrics to provide, secure and improve the site. Travelpayouts and the selected travel provider may process attribution data after an affiliate link is opened. Cloudflare and travel partners may process data outside the EEA using the safeguards applicable to their services. Technical logs are kept only as needed; provider retention periods are described in their policies.
6. Your rights and updates
Where the GDPR applies, visitors may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection and may withdraw consent. They may complain to their competent authority; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali. WorkTrekkers links to independent websites and does not control their privacy practices. This notice will be updated when providers, purposes, retention periods or contact details change.
