Agricultural calendar

Use the calendar to decide when to apply, then confirm the exact crop, region and start date with the employer: weather can move a harvest by weeks.

January–March

Northern Europe: vineyard and orchard pruning, citrus, olives and protected greenhouse work. Southern Hemisphere: stone fruit, apples, pears and grapes move into harvest and packing.

April–June

New Zealand: kiwifruit harvest and packhouse work is commonly concentrated around March–June, while apples and pears often run from February into May. Europe: asparagus, strawberries, nursery and greenhouse work begin to accelerate.

July–September

Northern Hemisphere peak: berries, vegetables, apples and pears. In France, grape harvest jobs commonly appear from late August into October; dates change by grape variety, region and weather.

October–December

Mediterranean olives and citrus, greenhouse and packing work, plus winter pruning. In New Zealand and Australia, thinning, orchard preparation and early summer crops begin. Apply roughly 4–8 weeks before a known peak.

Guidance only: verify every vacancy, host, contract, exchange condition, cost and safety requirement on the original source before making a decision.
